For conference weekend we stayed at Shaun's family cabin. This was our first time sleeping somewhere else since Carson came into our family. I've always been the type to pack more then I need, now I think I'm ten times worse with a kid! I guess it's always good to be prepared, even if we could have lasted a week or more on the mountain. Since we have the newest baby we got to have our own room in the basement! This was great since I was worried about Carson keeping everyone up at night. If any of you know me well, you know I worry. I guess that's just who I am, but I think having a baby intensifies it. At night Carson's bassinet is usually by my side of the bed, that way I can check on him throughout the night (I probably check on him more then I should). At the cabin there wasn't enough room to have him by the side of the bed so we put his crib at the foot of the bed. After we got into bed I checked on him once and Shaun told me that I needed to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. This goes to show I in fact check on Carson more then I should. :) I guess Shaun is one of those people that knows I worry all the time, and he didn't want that effecting his sleep. If anything I guess Shaun knows how much I love Carson and worry about him, and hopefully Carson will know that someday too.
Shaun and I have been married 6 wonderful years. I have been so lucky to have married such a wonderful guy! We were blessed with our beautiful baby through adoption. He has added so much joy to our little family! I've learned that life doesn't always workout the way you plan, but some how it ends up being better then you could have ever imagined. I am always amazed at how the Lord keeps blessing us everyday. We truly have a wonderful life!
